Make a Statement at Home with Print Photos

They say a picture paints a thousand words. So today at STYLEanthropy, let’s take advantage of print photos or art photo to make a statement at home. Whether you add a framed photo to a gallery wall or choose one big photo print, they certainly make a great impact to your home decor.

I for one, have been wanting to add framed print photos to my home. I’ve been looking for something that will reflect my style and make a dramatic statement… something that I know will last and match my decor, no matter how I switch and change it up. Do you know that Photos.com by Getty Images (yes, the Getty Images we know) offer museum quality framed prints from a variety of influential photographers? Neither did I!

Above are some striking photo prints from Photos.com. How cute is that dog print above? I also love that blue structure and lone palm tree in the middle of nowhere.

One of the featured photographers you can find in their website is Earl Leaf, also known as Loose Leaf, he was the first US journalist to photograph Mao in 1939. By the 1950s he was a jack of all trades. He was famous for photographing starlets in their bedrooms, helping launch several Hollywood careers including Marilyn Monroe’s! I don’t know about you, but there’s something so dramatic about a photo of a style icon such as Monroe, Twiggy or David Bowie. When I get my dream closet/office space, I’m definitely hanging Monroe there!

Photographer Fred W. McDarrah also has some of the most interesting portraits of various subjects that became cultural icons. Some of them are photos of Dylan, Warhol and Muhammad Ali, just to name a few. These would be great to hang in your living room, family room, game room, music or entertainment room.

But aside from portrait photos, I also love the art photos that makes you want to travel. Landscapes, seascapes, aerial views – these are some of the trending photo prints in home interiors these days. And I love how the photo series from Ed Freeman captures that urge to explore the world.
